Injectables
There is a vast array of injectables available today. Injectable fillers can plump thin lips, enhance shallow contours, soften facial creases and wrinkles, or improve the appearance of recessed scars. They can be used to erase wrinkles in the dermis or replace the volume in your face that has decreased with the years. Dr. Feins has many alternatives available including Botox®, Radiesse® and Prevelle® Silk, and will help you select the ones to address your individual needs.
BOTOX® Injections
The cosmetic form of botulinum toxin, often referred to by its product name BOTOX®, is a popular non-surgical injection that temporarily reduces or eliminates frown lines, forehead creases, crow’s feet near the eyes and thick bands in the neck. The toxin blocks the nerve impulses, temporarily paralyzing the muscles that cause wrinkles while giving the skin a smoother, more refreshed appearance. Studies have also suggested that BOTOX® is effective in relieving migraine headaches, excessive sweating and muscle spasms in the neck and eyes.
Other paralytic agents are coming on the market, and Dr. Feins will add them to his rejuvenating arsenal as their efficacy is established.
Radiesse®
With aging, we lose volume in the face. Radiesse® is an injectable filler that offers a non-surgical approach to shaping and contouring the face and restoring lost volume with immediate, long lasting results.
Its unique contouring ability allows Dr. Feins to treat large areas of the face in one procedure. Any form of facial contouring with Radiesse® is performed as a non-surgical, minimally invasive out-patient procedure in our office.

Results are immediate and only require a few long-lasting treatments, which means Radiesse® is also cost-effective – saving you time and money. And while treatment results may vary, results typically last months longer with Radiesse® as compared to other fillers.
For the first three months after injection, Radiesse® initially performs as a filler substance by plumping up the skin. Then thanks to its collagen-generating properties, Radiesse® actually stimulates new tissue development for extended correction for up to 12 to 24 months.* (*According to the manufacturer).
Radiesse® also allows you to resume your daily activities almost immediately.
PREVELLE® Silk
PREVELLE® Silk is a colorless hyaluronic acid gel that contains a small quantity of a local anesthetic (lidocaine) to provide pain relief at the injection site. Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance found in the human body, which moisturizes (hydrates) and cushions the skin. PREVELLE® Silk is naturally broken down by your body over time. Skin testing is not required.
After the initial injection an additional treatment, or touch up, may be needed 1 to 2 weeks later to achieve the desired level of correction. Over time PREVELLE® Silk will be broken down naturally by your body, which is why you may want repeat treatments. In general, repeat treatments are needed within 3 to 6 months to maintain the desired result, but the timing of additional treatment varies from person to person.
